The M26 Pershing originated in the last months of World War II as an American response to Panzer IV and Panzer VI Tiger tanks. It came to the battlefield only in 1945. It was, it is claimed, too wide and sluggish for battles. Of the 310 Pershings produced, 200 of them reached Europe, and only 20 took part in battle. So, its real power and strength were never actually tested… until the Iron Bull arena.
