Panzer VI Tiger
History of the tank
Armed with an 88mm KwK4 36 L/56 cannon in 1942, Tiger was the tank with the most powerful weapon. It had impressive armor and was a threat to all enemy armored vehicles. Its role was to break through Allied defensive lines to allow medium-heavy tanks like the Panzer IV and Panther to penetrate enemy lines. A total of 1350 tigers were produced. Like most heavy tanks, it suffered from mechanical problems, but nevertheless became an icon of World War II.
